As well as achieving our own sustainability targets and goals we often assist outside of our organisation to encourage and facilitate positive environmental outcomes. We are involved in working groups on environmental issues as often as we can, and have participated in government studies like the Rethinking plastics in New Zealand, our sustainability Manager Ally Hopwood has spoken at forums and is involved in the wider plastics industry through Plastics New Zealand to facilitate best environmental practices as well as offering our knowledge and support. Our Sustainability Manager Ally Chairs the Plastics New Zealand environment committee and sits on the National Exec of Plastic New Zealand.
Pharmapac is a full member of Plastics New Zealand, PNZ is an innovative organization that works tirelessly to influence plastic manufacturing in New Zealand so that manufacturers operate in an environmentally responsible manner. Pharmapac has also a been awarded a Sustainable Business Network (SBN) investor for impact certificate and we are included in the SBN circular Design Directory.
Pharmapac also has relationships with other inspirational businesses and organisations that are committed to caring for our environment, and in 2021 we were invited by Toitu to present at the Safe and Sustainable Packaging Forum as New Zealand’s only packaging manufacturer to have achieved the top environmental level of Toitu Enviromark Diamond.
